Bubble Baths and Bunnies
Kelly decided we needed a weekend away from LA so he took the kids and I to this awesome place called Bacara just north of Santa Barbara. It's totally fancy smancy so Riley and I got to revel in our inner divas. We basically lived in those robes all weekend! The weather was perfect, we got upgraded to a suite and the kids pronounced it was the best Easter ever so K and I considered it a win. Kelly is totally a manly man so I'm not sure how I convinced him to get in a bubble bath but Lord knows I had to capture that shit for blackmail, er proof. He would die to know I'm posting the pics here for us to mock and giggle about but he left town to work for a few days so I feel like this is just desserts. Anyway I think the ones of the kids giving him kisses are cute.
On Easter we took the kids to this little Dutch town called Solvang. There's this restaurant we go to every time called Paula's Pancake House and let me tell you these are by far the most delicious pancakes in the whole world. They are twice the size of my head (which is kind of a miracle since I have a huge melon anyway) and they are crepe-like and sweet and basically a joygasm in your mouth. Kelly and I hoovered one while Riley and Keaton tried to avoid being hit in the face with rogue blueberries and whipped cream.
After we ate our weight in pancakes we went for a walk around the town. I was a douche and left my camera at home so we had to rely on my Blackberry for capturing the memories for time and all eternity. But like Riley said, "At least we have our memories of it." Half full glass sister, half full glass.
Obviously getting pictures of their Easter Bunny swag was the priority.
I love this family. Too much for words really.
