Attention Whore
"Attention is the currency of relationships."
I read this yesterday and smiled. Yes, that is exactly what I was feeling when I wrote the blog last week. I guess you could say it is part of the human condition to want the people we love to give us their time.
After releasing all that frustration and confusion into the blogosphere I got some really wonderful advice. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. It helped. Kelly and I had a series of conversations and we came to some compromises. We agreed to cut the cell phones cord at dinner and in bed, I will get up early on trainer days to go with him to the gym so that we have more time together and we'll both make a real effort to be more understanding. I am a work in progress. One of the things I love about this relationship is that I aspire to be better. We both do. I've come to see, that is a gift.
Thank you for the help friends.
